How can you balance the desire to write interesting, meaningful ideas with the need to be grammatically correct? How important should grammar be?
As far as writing goes, the message has always been the most important part to consider. Without the message or the intent of the text, any kind of communication is useless and this will just be blabbering. The idea of your message is very important as this is the reason why you are writing. With this, the medium would be the next thing to consider.
With the medium, you would have to consider how you would convey your message, in what language and what structure your sentences would be. If you are to write your message, you would have to consider your receiver. How would your receiver interpret your message if you write it in a slobby manner, or if you write it in a professional manner. Here is where grammar lies. Professional writing is all about the right words, the right grammar, the right spelling. On the other hand, if this is just texting or chatting with your friends, any structure would just be fine considering that both of you still understands it.
Long story short, grammar is very essential in writing as this is how your receiver can understand you and we have to be very careful and precise in using it.
